Our client approached MR Connect to design and install a fully integrated and centralised smart-home solution into their 3 bedroom riverside new build. The solution needed to accommodate our client’s entertaining lifestyle, add a convenience factor in manage all their technology and lighting from one source and introduce remote security control due to frequent travelling. He was looking for an AV system to span every room in the house through to the garden and summer house without compromising on the quality of sound and he wanted the lighting system to highlight the interior design and architecture of the property whilst creating the perfect ambience for every occasion.
We collaborated with the architects, builders and PM at the design stage of the build to develop a phased project plan, delivered in stages throughout the 12 month build period. This approach, coupled with MR Connect being a family run business with a 30-man team of qualified designers and engineers, allowed us to remain fully responsive to challenges faced during the build or amendments to requirements requested by the PM and client as the build progressed.
Our involvement during the design stage of the new build also ensured the cabling infrastructure was factored into the building specifications and hardware storage was considered whilst prioritising design aesthetics.
Following successful installation, we spent considerable time with the client ensuring they fully understood how to get the most out of their smart-home control system and how it addressed each of their initial requirements.

When travelling we both have absolute peace of mind that the house is protected and should we require, is constantly in ’contact’ with us both! Our CCTV systems are impeccable with movement and person notifications and ability to converse with people around the property. In addition, the ability to make the house look as though someone is living their whilst we are away by setting lighting schedules and ambience removes any concerns we have of leaving the home unattended.

In addition, MR Connect after sales service has been exceptional and when they have had to attend the post-project site it has been within the specified 24 hours response. Their online and telephone support has always been very responsive even though the issue has generally been my wife or I not quite remembering how to use the controls!"
